Matthew Shuman currently serves as the Strategic Congressional Initiatives Manager for Philips Healthcare, with a large focus on initiatives within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD), Philips' largest global customers. Prior to joining Philips in April 2019, Mr. Shuman worked at the American Legion as the youngest-ever Director of Legislative Affairs, representing the Legion’s 2-million members to all 535 members of Congress, the White House, and different federal agencies.

Mr. Shuman currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Honor Flight Network, a Legisaltive Consultant for The American Legion’s National Legislative Commission, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He received his bachelor’s degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Matthew lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his husband, Matt Ambler.
